These pendants are handmade by owner, Lana Rodriguez. Did you know that during the Frida & Diego exhibit at the DIA these lil puppies were available in the DIA’s gift shop? Well you can find them at Mama Coo’s Boutique now! (I’m sure there a lil cheaper) Mama Coo’s also carries other themed pieces, Loteria, Detroit and MI just to name a few. Lana can create personalized pieces as well. Think weddings, quinceaneras, birthdays or a lil gift to say I love ya.

For the last two years Mama Coo’s Boutique has hosted a Prom Dress Drive and Prom Dress Giveaway event for local Detroit ladies. Sadly this year with the opening of the store front financially it was not possible. However, we are looking forward to having one next year for 2018!
I am an artist who graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2014. I primarily focus on creating animations and drawings. I enjoy mixing traditional art making techniques with the all the digital tools available. Since graduating college I have started my own animation/design service business called Mulligan Art. I am currently based in Hamtramck, MI.
Along with producing art I have also been instructing art workshops to the Detroit Metropolitan area since 2010.The workshops I provide focus on all the aspects of the animation production pipeline, drawing principles and fundamental art making skills. I like to teach art because encouraging others to create motives myself to never stop creating.
My current major art project is an animated film called “Anxiety”. The film is going to chronicle my personal experience with panic attacks and generalized anxiety. The animation will be drawn with charcoal utilizing the traditional hand-drawn technique developed in the early 1900s. This film is being made possible by the Kresge Arts in Detroit Fellowship.
